An outstanding leadership opportunity has become available at Carilion Clinic’s newly established Cardiovascular Institute located in Roanoke, Virginia. The Vice President, CVI will be a member of Carilion Clinic’s senior leadership team, reporting directly to the President of Carilion Medical Center. The VP, CVI will partner with Chairs of Medicine and Surgery in developing high-level strategic initiatives to position CVI as the provider of choice for cardiovascular services. The VP, CVI will also ensure the provided quality of care and patient experience meet the standards that have made Carilion Clinic a leader in healthcare.

Considered candidates will have a track record of developing and implementing proactive strategic initiatives and integrated approaches to ensure positive patient outcomes as measured by key performance indicators. Must have the ability to articulate strategic vision and influence others through consensus building and collaborative leadership. Additional qualifications include superior analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with a proven capacity for building credibility, role modeling collegiality and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Established performance in developing and achieving strategic service line growth initiatives is required. Experience in mentorship, facilitation, multi-disciplinary team-building and conflict resolution skills are required.

Qualifications include Master’s degree with ten years of demonstrated progressively responsible leadership experience in healthcare roles. Experience leading Cardiovascular services a plus.
