University of Utah – Multi-Organ Transplant Surgeon

The University of Utah Division of Transplantation and Advanced Hepatobiliary Surgery is seeking applications for a faculty member to join the multi-organ transplant team at the assistant or associate professor level.  This is an opportunity to join an expanding program and a cohesive group of transplant surgeons focused on excellence. The candidate should be board certified in general surgery and have completed an ASTS approved transplantation surgery fellowship.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and excellent clinical judgment.  Opportunities include both adult and pediatric liver, kidney, pancreas transplantation, organ procurement, and hepatobiliary surgery. Participation in the teaching of medical students and surgery residents is expected. Clinical and basic research activities are strongly encouraged and experience with laparoscopic donor nephrectomy and/or live donor liver transplantation is desirable.
