The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria, Department of Surgery, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Thoracic Surgeon with an interest in lung cancer, esophageal cancer, trauma and general thoracic surgery.  Candidates will be eligible for rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor based on their current status and rank with responsibilities that include assisting in the growth of clinical excellence that can support the academic programs.

This individual will provide patient care in their field of expertise.  Additional responsibilities include providing education and mentorship to medical students and residents and development of clinical and/or research studies in association with other attending physicians, residents, and medical students.

Candidates must hold or be eligible for Illinois medical license and must be board certified or eligible in specialty. Strong teaching abilities and interpersonal skills are essential.
