The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Oklahoma City is seeking a Chief for the Section of General Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Associate Professor or Professor level.  The position involves a flexible combination of leadership activities, clinical care, education, and research in an academic setting.  The Chief of the Section of General Obstetrics and Gynecology will work closely with the Department Chair and Hospital Administration to: 1) Develop and revise programs to provide clinical care, 2) Actively mentor faculty and foster scholarly activity within the Section of General Obstetrics and Gynecology, 3) Recruit faculty for both obstetrics and gynecology-focused roles, 4) Organize and direct the work of clinical staff and faculty within the Section, and 4) Standardize policies and procedures for the provision of clinical care and education.  Applicants should be eligible for medical licensure in Oklahoma and certified.

The Section is a major component of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and currently has ten faculty.  The Department consists of 33 faculty with the representation of all board-certified subspecialties. The Department has a strong residency program and a top-rated clerkship among the OU College of Medicine.  Faculty members actively participate in both resident and medical student education and will have opportunities for formal didactics and hands-on learning for both.
