The Division of Pulmonary Medicine, Allergy & Immunology, in the Department of Pediatrics, at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, in Pittsburgh, is seeking a pediatric allergist/immunologist to join our faculty on the “clinician-educator track”. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. The Division of Pulmonary Medicine, Allergy & Immunology currently has 25 full-time faculty members, including four allergist/immunologists. The Division has an outstanding career development program for its dedicated clinician-educators.

Our physicians have broad clinical and research interests, including asthma, food allergy and immunodeficiency.  We have been named a center of excellence by Food Allergy Research and Education, and actively participate in food allergy clinical trials.  We also have a Pediatric Asthma Center, a severe asthma clinic, and a clinic focused on primary immune deficiencies. 

The Division has a strong ACGME-accredited training program in   allergy/immunology with 4 fellows, with joint conferences and research activities. Our education mission extends beyond our fellows-in-training to include pediatric residents and medical students.

The successful applicant’s responsibilities will include primarily outpatient care, but will also participate in our inpatient consult service.  Responsibilities will also include teaching our fellows, as well as our pediatric residents and medical students.  Pursuing individual scholarly interests is encouraged and supported.
