Director of Rehabilitation at University of Utah Health

University of Utah Health is seeking a Director of Rehabilitation and Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) to lead a new Center for Rehabilitation. With support from a major donor, the University will begin construction of a 75-bed Rehabilitation Hospital in late 2017. The Hospital will be an innovative facility designed to promote interaction between embedded research and clinical care teams, students and patients.

The Center will bring together substantial institutional strength in rehabilitation science and related disciplines including translational and clinical neurosciences, clinical and research physical and occupational therapies and speech pathology programs, population health, bioengineering, bioinformatics, orthopedics and exercise science. The Director will oversee leadership of the PMR Division and foster continued development of the Center’s relationships with other key stakeholders including the Neuroscience Initiative and the Colleges of Engineering and Health.

The successful candidate will have an MD and or PhD in a rehabilitation related discipline with a history sustained research funding, academic achievement and demonstrable administrative and leadership skills.
