Building on our unique position as a national university, our proud history, and remarkable achievements, the Vice-Chancellor has set a new and ambitious agenda for ANU. Pre-eminence in health and medicine is essential to delivering against this vision. The University has recently established a new College of Health and Medicine, incorporating the world-leading John Curtin School of Medical Research, Research School of Population Health, Research School of Psychology, and the ANU Medical School.

ANU are making a substantial investment in health and medical sciences over the next 5 years to match this ambitious agenda. The new Dean of the College will assist in us in focusing our effort to achieve maximum impact and translation for the benefit of all Australians, and to build on existing academic excellence commensurate with one of the leading Universities in the world.

We are looking for an exceptional academic leader to head this new College – a leader who can embrace change, who can realise the many competitive advantages that the ANU has in health and medicine, and who will forge a bold vision for how we position the University in the current external environment for health and medicine.



Our new Dean will be a leader of international calibre and reputation who will assist us retain our place among the world’s greatest universities and inspire our staff and students to achieve great things in both research and education.
