The Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, McGovern Medical School, University of Texas, Houston, has a practice opportunity for the position of Chief of Vascular Surgery Division.

The Division of Vascular Surgery is an academic Vascular Practice affiliated with the Memorial Hermann Hospital System, practicing in the Metropolitan Greater Houston area.

The Department host a fully accredited ACGME traditional and integrated vascular surgery residency program.

The Department is seeking an academic and clinically based vascular surgeon to serve as Chief of The Division of Vascular Surgery.

This position will be an integral member of the department, as well as advancing the academic vascular surgery practice within the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston, and Memorial Hermann Hospital.

This position also requires that you serve as a leader in vascular surgery within the Memorial Hermann system. This includes development of the vascular surgery clinical service line, for the provision of vascular surgery care.

As a member of the teaching faculty, this position will require supervision of residents, medical students, and staff mentoring for all members of the vascular surgery division.

All qualifications must comply with the Texas Medical Board.

Qualifications include:

  • Specialized knowledge in Vascular Surgery

  • Other characteristics such as personal characteristics
  • Professional Certification American Board of General and Vascular Surgery
  • Experience
