The newly formed joint venture between National Jewish Health (NJH) headquartered in Denver and Jefferson Health (Jefferson) based in Philadelphia has created an outstanding leadership opportunity for a visionary pulmonary physician leader to serve as Chief Executive Officer of the Jefferson-National Jewish Jane and Leonard Korman Respiratory Institute and Enterprise Division Chief of Pulmonary Services for Jefferson Health (CEO/Chief).

As the leader in the delivery of Respiratory Services for Jefferson Health, the CEO/Chief in conjunction with the Institute Board will set a vision for Respiratory and related diseases through the advancement of research, clinical programs and education. He/she will guide the transformation of pulmonary care delivery and enhance the integration of care on behalf of patients. The CEO/Chief will provide direction and leadership in the development of the Respiratory Institute including its mission and strategic objectives to support Pulmonary Services by the pursuit of opportunities for expansion of the system’s comprehensive respiratory services.

Jefferson Health is a leader in care delivery throughout the city and the suburbs of Philadelphia, southern New Jersey and Delaware. As of August 2017, the system will be comprised of 11 hospitals, numerous outpatient facilities and urgent care centers. Its philosophy is to take these discoveries and integrate them into their programs to deliver the very best in preventive and personalized medicine. Founded in 1899 to treat tuberculosis, NJH began serving patients who came to Denver for the climate's supposed beneficial effect on respiratory diseases. Since that first patient was admitted more than 100 years ago, NJH has expanded its scope to include many respiratory, immunologic and related disorders.
