ASSISTANT PROFESSORCLINICAL FACULTY APPOINTMENT

DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MEDICINE

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a board-prepared or board-certified physician at the rank of assistant professor or higher to join our growing academic department in the world’s largest medical center, located in Houston, Texas. The 50-bed emergency department has an annual census of 26,000.

This is an exceptional opportunity for emergency physicians to support the development of oncologic emergency medicine as a distinct sub-discipline. As the Director of Research, responsibilities include leading a collaborative research program and developing relationships with industry that will further expand opportunities focusing in oncologic emergency medicine. This position will also involve patient care activities, as well as educating medical students, residents and fellows. A minimum of two years as an instructor or five years post-degree with any combination of time as a clinician or clinical scientist or GME trainee in conjunction with a thorough understanding of research and knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP), federal, state and institutional regulations are required.
