The Yale Child Study Center and Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging (Yale Magnetic Resonance Research Center) of the Yale University School of Medicine is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor.  The focus of this position is the use of novel magnetic resonance imaging techniques including fMRI and functional connectivity to understand normative brain development in infants, children, and adolescents and in those children with developmental and psychiatric disorders. The selected candidate is expected to build an independent research program within the context of the Child Study Center and the Yale MRRC, attract extramural funding, and collaborate with other Departments such as Pediatrics or Psychology and industrial partners. The candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and clinicians that will lead to new applications of MR imaging and expand the capabilities of team of scientists using MR imaging techniques to study developmental and psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents.

Candidate may have a Ph.D.  or M.D. degree in child psychiatry, developmental psychology, or clinical psychology, or other relevant disciplines with specialization in development and/or developmental disorders. The candidate should be interested in potentially developing and running a small clinical service that enhances management of the patient group(s) of interest. At least 3 years of clinical experience are required. A willingness to engage with the technical aspects of study design, acquisition, and analysis strategies developed by the team is essential.
